Rabbi Ari Jun is a dynamic spiritual leader, scholar, and community organizer, currently serving as the Senior Rabbi of Temple Sholom in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ordained by the Hebrew Union College in 2015, he was born to two rabbis and raised with a deep-rooted passion for Judaism, learning, and justice.

Throughout his career, Rabbi Jun has led bold strategies to advance equity, fostered interfaith partnerships, and worked to bring Judaism’s distinctive moral voice to issues of public concern.

A prolific writer and speaker, he contributes regularly to local and national publications and is recognized for his leadership in interfaith dialogue, his fight against antisemitism, and his nuanced perspectives on Israel and Zionism.

Known for his warm, inclusive presence and deep commitment to tikkun olam (repairing the world), Rabbi Jun brings people together across lines of difference—whether in the synagogue, on the streets, or in civic spaces. He holds advanced degrees in Jewish Studies and has taught at institutions including the Hebrew Union College, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Dayton, and the University of Southern California.

He lives in Cincinnati with his wife, Hara, and their two cats, and continues to serve as a bridge-builder—welcoming all to join in personal growth, communal learning, and meaningful action.
